Explore Ashbrooke
“The parkland is perfect. It is neither too wild nor too tame with the hoary oaks, trout stream and cattle sleek with summer grasses”
~ ROBIN BRYANS, TRAVEL WRITER, 1964 ~
Meet Brock, or Brocc, our badger, whose name derives from the language spoken by our Celtic ancestors around 3,000 years ago. He features on the Coat of Arms of the Brookes, who share a name with him – and you’ll find him accompanying you as you explore our website. If you visit the church at Colebrooke, see how many badgers you can spot – there are said to be no fewer than 17.
SHARE AND CHERISH A QUIETLY NOURISHING WAY OF LIFE
On the breathtakingly beautiful estate, guests will find trout streams, lakes, ancient woodland, peatlands and swathes of grassland.
Revel in the finest country pursuits and indulge in modern luxuries at the end of the day: Ashbrooke offers something for everyone, from world-class fishing and clay-pigeon shooting to a fully equipped games room and bubbling hot tub.
Ashbrooke is owned by the Hon. Christopher Brooke and his wife Amanda, a talented ceramicist who undertook the complete renovation and redecoration of the house.
